This year we are implementing a new procedure for application and notification.

This is motivated by a number of issues. On the one hand, we need to allow a reasonable period of time during which people can apply – a minimum of two months – and have set the application deadline for Sunday May 19th.

However, we also understand that people need to know if they have been accepted relatively quickly so that they can organise their agendas, book flights, and consult employers, colleagues or partners. Notifying applicants only after the formal deadline of May 19th may be insufficient time for some people, especially those travelling from outside Europe.

Thirdly, we need to assure confirmation from applicants who have been offered a place on the course that they intend to take part.

Therefore, we are making the following alterations.

• Applications will be reviewed as they arrive. 

• Applicants who are accepted will then be notified within a few days of us receiving the application. Applicants will then have one week to confirm their intention to attend the course. Following this they will be asked to pay a deposit of 200 euros. 

• This deposit will be refundable if applicants have made the deposit payment before the application deadline of May 19th and withdraw before May 19th. It is non-refundable under two conditions: applicants that pay before May 19th and withdraw after May 19th, and, applicants that confirm their acceptance and pay the deposit after May 19th.

• We will continue to accept applications until the deadline of May 19th and will regularly issue notification of place availability on the website and allied social media.
