Ella Egidy is a Melbourne based freelance designer currently on contract with NGV, she was shortlisted for Young Designer of the Year at the 2017 Australian Book Design Awards.

Ella, who joined us in the 2017 edition of the summer school, has written an eloquent account of her experience in Porto last July for the Australian Book Designers Association. In an informative and insightful text she summarises the experience from the point of view of a participant – exactly the sort of perspective we like to hear about.
