In 'Every Days' Sumaiya Asghar (USA), Matthew Guo (Australia), Jeannie Nguyen (USA) and Alícia Pereira (Portugal) constructed a typographic scheme that uses one typeface with four point sizes – one size being used by each member of the team for their respective chapters and as the book progresses. This strategy, together with the manipulation of space, changes the intensity, pace and rhythm of reading. At sporadic intervals, information found in the texts, is expanded upon and composed in a different typeface, never appearing on the same spreads as the main stories. The generated dot patterns that appear alongside texts are inspired by elements within the stories do not illustrate them, instead they are rendered abstractly whilst retaining some figurative reference, thus, through a degree of ambivalence, do not fix the meaning for the reader. A detail is that the size of the full stops throughout the publication echo the size of the dots in the patterns.
