That is the question. And it’s one we don’t know the answer to. But, being realistic, we’re thinking that international travel in July will still be severely restricted. In addition, it’s also understandable that people will not feel completely comfortable travelling, and gathering together in close proximity.
All of this makes us very sad. But safety and well-being is the top priority.
We don’t know what effect postponing the summer school for yet another year will have. It’s particularly sad considering that the course was going from strength to strength, with our largest participation in 2019, and many of applications and interest received for the 2020 edition.
In light of all this we have considered the possibility of an on-line version of the summer school for 2021. But again, we do not yet have a sense of how desirable this might be, either for us as tutors, or for participants.
We will post news as soon as we have any.
